Good balcony with an incredible view over the city and a large comfortable bed were in the room that had good air conditioning and a good sized bathroom/shower. The owner was lovely, spoke excellent English, and was very helpful while cold water was supplied every day. Laundry facilities were available on the second floor with a communal fridge there as well, plus a laundromat across the road. A cheap breakfast menu was offered by the owner. The location was fantastic in a real Bangkok neighborhood with lots of local Thai and Chinese businesses nearby, including fruit stalls, hot food options, 7-11 about 100 meters away, and easy access to Chinatown/Hua Lamphong metro/train station within 15 minutes walk.
